The Head of the Charles will take place October 17–19, 2025. Whether you are there to row or there to cheer, the Head of the Charles is one of the most spectacular rowing event on anyone's rowing calendar.

This regatta is only for experienced rowers.

This is the first of two communications and only pertains to single racing (1x) and the Director's Challenge (charity event).

If you are interested in entering the lottery for the 1x or participate in the Director's Challenge, be aware of the following dates:

Director's Challenge Lottery Application

(Mixed 2x, Parent/Child 2x, 4x, or Mixed 8+):

Lottery Application will close on June 8.

*Due to the popularity of the Directors Challenge events, HOCR will be moving to a lottery to select the entries for these events. Accepted Entries will be posted within one week of close of registration (Jun 8 official HOCR deadline for Director's challenge).*

The event will take place on Sunday, October 19.

Single (1x) Lottery Application:

Lottery Application closes on July 1.

The events will take place on Friday, October 17 for masters 50+ and older and on Saturday, October 18 for 30+ and 40+.

Note that, if you are selected, you should be ready to car top as we cannot guarantee that CLRA will be sending a trailer.

Note also that if you are interested in both the Director's Challenge and the single races, you will need to register separately for each one.
