Whether you are there to row or there to cheer, the Head of the Charles is one of the most spectacular rowing event on anyone's rowing calendar.

Registration for the event does not guarantee a spot, it only allows us to participate in the lottery. We are limited by regatta rules to only 4 boat entries in the lottery (and no more than 1 in any event) for each men's and women's events. Our lottery entries will depend on who registers, so do not signup if there is any chance you may not go.

Important note: We will only consider competitive team members to participate in the lottery. The lottery process favors crews who come in the top 75% the previous year, so it is important that we enter boats that have a chance of either qualifying or finishing in the top 75% of their event.

The Head of the Charles regatta [sweep and 2x] will take place on October 18 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Deadline to register is Sunday, July 13.

Lottery Application deadline is Friday, August 1.

Lineup/s will be released on Monday, August 25.

Practice schedule will be coordinated between the race captain and the boat captain/s once lineup/s have been determined.

TO 2X SCULLERS ENTERING IN THE LOTTERY:

* All sweep events take place on Saturday Oct 18th.

* The 2x events will take place on Friday Oct 17th for masters 50+ and older and on Saturday Oct 18th for 30+ and 40+

Note that, if you are selected, you should be ready to car top as we cannot guarantee that CLRA will be sending a trailer.

If you do not receive an entry in the lottery and would like to be considered for a sweep event, make sure you enter it as a comment.
