As Neried Boat Club's first Regatta... it will be very relaxed.  It's their chance to look for possible problems or anything they might have overlooked in their hopes of making this a first class head race in the years to come.  Our two clubs are the "shakedown crew".
In addition to Neried and CLRA... they have invited the German Masters crew, who is training with their club in preparation for the Head of the Charles.  They will join in the racing.  Additional rowers/club(s) may be invited.
All boat line-ups are subject to change.   Sign up on the day you are scheduled to practice.  Indicate "race" after your name to help the coaches make up the daily line-ups.
Please help with rigging and loading activities.
Arrange your transportation in advance.
Wear a club shirt for racing.
Coxswains are responsible for their own CoxBox® and bow numbers.
Race Distance: 2½ miles rowing south on the Passaic.  We are told it is a scenic row lined with parks the whole way!
Starting time will be approximately 10:00 AM.  All boats should be there no later than 9:00 AM.  The line-up and final boat count for the races will take place at 8:00 AM that morning.
As you can see, Neried is waiting till the last minute to include everybody and has said that nay crews looking for a workout will get it!  Also... we can feel free to jump in any boats and be extras if we like.
There are NO entry fees!  We are guests of Nereid and their invitation includes a picnic-style BBQ which they are hosting.  That will begin at 1:00 PM.  We do not need to bring anything but if we wish to donate $ towards the cost of the food we enjoy... that is OK.
Medals will be awarded.  Before/after the dedication we are most welcome to tour their new boathouse and enjoy!
