Boat Captains

grey shaded name on boat line-ups designates the Boat Captain, responsible for:

1 alerting crew to boatings and practices
2 finding cox subs, if necessary
3 ensures turnout for Friday finish line clean-up and Saturday boat movings
4 ensures boats are rigged and crews are ready for race
5 gets waivers signed by all

Schedule

July 26-29 practices during all sessions**
Friday July 30 6:00 PM policing of regatta site (finish line/Kingston end
Saturday July 31 8:00 AM meet at boathouse to row boats to regatta staging area
Saturday July 31 3:45 PM clean-up and row boats back to boathouse

** All boats practice during the competitive session. We do not expect to see any subs but please talk to coaches at least 48 hours in advance if you do need a sub. Boat captains are responsible for finding cox subs.

 

All boat line-ups are subject to change.   Sign up on the day you are scheduled to practice.  Indicate "race" after your name to help the coaches make up the daily line-ups.
Please help with rigging and loading activities.
Wear a club shirt for racing.
Coxswains are responsible for their own CoxBox® and bow numbers.
Race Distance: 1500 meters for open races; 1000 meters for masters races; 500 meters for coxswain dash.  Floating starts.  Finals only format: all heats are finals.
Masters Events: all rowers must be 36 by 12/31/99.
Medals awarded to the winners of each race. The Heebink Bowl awarded to the club with the most winning points overall.
Launch 30 minutes before race time.
Lunch: $5 for all you can eat and you bring the lunch!
Please help with as much as you can; this is OUR regatta!
