finding coxswains for practices and let competition captain know who they are

ensures turnout for loading/unloading

ensures boats are rigged and crews are ready at the regatta (all to arrive at site two hours before race time)

All boat line-ups are subject to change.   

There is no need to sign up on the day you are scheduled to practice.

Please help with rigging and loading/unloading activities.

Arrange your transportation in advance.

Wear a club shirt or unisuit for racing.

Coxswains are responsible for their own CoxBox® and bow numbers.

Race Distance: 2½ miles, head style race
Each entrant must be at the starting line 5 minutes prior to their scheduled starting time.
Master¹s crews must have an average age of at least 35, with no individual, except coxswain, below age 30. Handicap will be 6 seconds per year up to a maximum of 180 seconds. Ages are as of 12/31/02.
Specially commissioned medals will be awarded to the winners of each race, as long as there are a minimum of two entries from different clubs. First and second place medals will be awarded in races having at least four entries

 

DIRECTIONS
The course is located on the Schuylkill River about 5 miles north of the junction of the PA Turnpike (I-276), the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76), and US Route 202 in King of Prussia.

From the junction of the PA Turnpike (I-276), the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) and Route 202 in King of Prussia, proceed North on 202 to Business 202 ("DeKalb St. Bridgeport"). Bear left at the first light (staying on DeKalb) and go straight through the next light (junction with Route 23). At the next light, turn left into the parking lot for "Sunsational", proceeding about 300 yards along the river to the boathouse bay.

From Princeton - I95 towards Philadelphia.  Exit 17, I676 West for 2 miles to the Schuylkill Expressway, I76.  West on I76 for 13 miles to Exit 332 (Old Exit 29), Conschohocken, Route 23.  At the traffic light turn left on Route 23 West.  Route 23 West for 3.9 miles to Bridgeport and Route 202.  Right on Route 202 North over bridge to first light.  Left turn into the "Sunsational" parking lot. Follow about 300 yards along the river to the boathouse bay.

Estimated driving time from the boathouse: 1½ hours.
