News from The Princeton 3-Mile Chase and The Belly of the Carnegie (August 2008)
After 28 years of freshman and novice fall racing here at Princeton we have decided to cancel The Belly of the Carnegie Regatta. In addition we will be adding freshmen/novice events to The Princeton 3-Mile Chase Regatta.
Please make plans to join us on Sunday, October 26th for the new 2008 edition of The Princeton 3-Mile Chase Regatta.
The Belly of the Carnegie is an invitational head-race hosted by the Princeton University crew coaching staff for freshmen men and novice women collegiate crews The Belly of the Carnegie regatta is composed of three races for Women, Lightweight Men and Heavyweight Men competing over a distance of 2¾ miles.
The Belly Bowl Trophy is awarded to the school with the combined best time for the top two boats in all three events.

The start of the race is the normal finish line at the Kingston end of Lake Carnegie. The finish is just before the Washington Road bridge. Spectators may watch the racing from the start located just off Route 27 (Nassau Street) at the Kingston end of the lake, the Harrison Street bridge or the finish at the Washington Road bridge located near the boathouse.
Volunteer members of the Carnegie Lake Rowing Association are helping the Princeton University coaching staff by organizing and operating this regatta.
Official Regatta shirts are available at the boathouse for $20.
